Today I did a little experiment where I used a pendulum to pick the card for the day, because why not? [editor’s note from the future: using pendulums with my cards has become a standard part of my practice and it was fun looking back on this old post to realize when I started to use them together]

The Psychic Tarot Oracle Deck, by John Holland

The Truth card in the Psychic Oracle deck corresponds to the traditional Smith-Rider-Waite Judgment card. While that deck relied on Christian esotericism and presented the card with traditional Christian iconography (people standing with arms outstretched before the trumpet of the angels on judgment day), this deck favors a less overtly religious take with a depiction of the scales of justice. In both cases, the card asks: are you on the right path? You are currently being confronted with that question in an especially pressing way. Take heart! You’re close to letting go of the baggage that’s been weighing you down so that you can rise above your current situation and move to the next stage of your journey in life. Sound familiar? We had another reading like this recently — clearly the universe wants to nudge you. Ask yourself what you know is right in your heart. Then let go of any fears, doubts, and hurt that you’ve been holding on to, and use that renewed sense of lightness to pursue that truth.
